Prayers & Praise

The Substance of Prayer

What is prayer?

Prayer is an enormous source of power and sustenance. Through prayer, we are inspired to make great triumphs, accomplishments and miraculous healings. Essentially, prayer is an act of communing with God.

It makes us one with God. The 14th-century mystic, Julian of Norwich, called prayer "one-ing with God"

Prayer is the essential link that helps us bridge two worlds, our everyday world and a transcendent reality. In that transcendent world, we see all things as being possible. And we are guided accordingly, to manifest our highest good.

Giving Thanks

We give thanks to You,
O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that
Your name is near.
