Our History

In November of 1998, Pastor Evans was called by our Father to teach and spread His Word in San Diego. Under His guidance and believing that the Lord has work for us to accomplish, several members stepped-out in faith and accepted His calling. Under the sanction of the late Bishop, Michael Cole, Christ Chapel of North Park San Diego was borne - as an extension of Christ Chapel of Long Beach.

Early February of 1999, the Lord led us to The North Park Lions Club, 3927 Utah Street. The members of Christ Chapel North Park were called on to bring the Joy of our Lord and the Word of God to the “Hills and Valleys” of San Diego and into the hearts of it’s residents. Through doing so we were blessed in October of 2004 to move to our current location, 2855 El Cajon Blvd. We are a full Gospel; non-denominational Church and we welcome all people to join us in praising the Lord! The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
As John the Baptist told his followers I baptize you with water, than who will come and baptize you with the Holy Spirit. (Mathew 3:11)-- "I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.
Gifts and Fruits of the Spirit: The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. We embrace with gladness that God loves us so much that He gave the fruit of His Sprit as well as Gifts of the Spirit for His Bride.
Laying on of hands: Christ not only performed miracles. He layed His hands and they were healed: There are many scriptures that support our events mentined, by the laying on of hands, however understand our position in receiving all that God has for us, as God's gifts. Therefore, we mean these are all gifts given to the Bride of Christ the Son, led by the Holy Spirit of which we embrace with all Time.

Something you should know..

Christ Chapel of North Park - is a Non-Denominational congregation to all. We do not label ourselves as anything and perhaps that is a concern... We have Latinos in our Church, but we are not a "Latin Church" their are professionals in our Church yet the needy, homeless, and those with no income are a part of this Church and are welcomed with the same love and respect!

We have members with alternative lifestyles, but we do not label ourselves as a "Gay Church" The Church reflects one of diversity in the community appointed by its location. We reach out to those that are not wanted, misunderstood, and pushed by the wayside. Far be it for our Church to be good and faithful in Christ and turn our backs on any soul in need. Finally, we are all sinners saved by grace.
